My Four Favorite Films

Jackie Brown poster

A plan so crazy, it just might work.

Rating: 5/5

Jackie Brown is a 70's style action film that follows the titular Jackie as she makes a plan so bold, it has to work. Jackie Brown is a flight attendant who gets caught in the middle of smuggling cash into the country for her boss. When cops try to use Jackie to get to her booss, she comes up with a plan - with help from a bail bondsman - to keep the money for herself.

This is truly one of the greatest noir films ever. The stakes are high and you root for Jackie the whole way through. Quentin Tarintino does an amazing job here and every actor is on fire.

Nope poster

Spectacle is the sun that never sets over the empire of modern passivity. - Guy Debord

Rating: 5/5

Nope directed by Jordon Peele is Peele's third dirctorial endeavor and follows siblings OJ and Emerald, alongside a few friends they make along their journey, as they track down a potential alien living above their ranch.

Nope is such a refreshing take on alien horror. The alien, named Jean Jacket, is so incredible in scale and design and watching our characters fight to not only capture a picture of it, but keep their lives was so amazing.

Humanist vampire poster

A vampire that is too sensitive to kill? What shall she do...

Rating: 4.5/5

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person follows young vampire Sasha as her family kicks her out due to her inability to kill on her own. Luckily, she meets a willing participant in a suicidal boy named Paul.

Another film that is a super refreshing take on an old horror trope. Vampires have been in film for as long as film has been popular. Humanist Vampire is a really charming coming of age comedy that uses vampires as a backdrop.

Batman poster

Another entry to the long list of Batman films.

Rating: 4/5

The Batman folllows Bruce in his second year as Batman. Watch as he uncovers the deep coruption in Gotham City and fight against a foe named the Riddler.

Batman is my absolute favorite superhero and he is incredible in this film. This is my favorite Batman film and Robert Pattinson was an excellent (if not strange) choice to play the Bat. I am so excited to see how this series plays out in the future.
